FOL Totebags for Sale
The Friends of the Library are selling canvas totebags for $5. The bags are washable and are perfect for carrying your purchases. The bags can be purchased at the library's circulation desks.
The Friends of the Library (FOL) was founded to support library programs and help buy equipment through membership dues and fundraising activities such as used book sales. This year the library was able to purchase a color laser printer to help publish the library's newsletter because of a generous contribution from the Friends of the Library.
There are several membership categories--individual memberships are just $5 a year, and benefits include Book Bucks, which can be used to buy a free book from the used book sales, to reserve a book, or to pay an overdue fine (up to $1). Friends of the Library members are also admitted to "For Friends Only" preview sales of their used book sales. Friends also receive a discount to any library program in which an admission is charged.
Join us at the Coffee
2nd Wednesday of each month at 1pm.
The term coffee klatch comes
from an old German word
kaffeeklatsch which means an
informal social gathering for
coffee and conversation. The Friends of the Library is
starting a Coffee Klatch on the second Wednesday each
month at 1 pm. We will be meeting in the DPL program
room for coffee and goodies. Along with the interesting
conversation, the volunteers will be doing various projects
for FOL and the library.
Every Thursday from 6 to 8:30 pm
At the Train Station In Ellis Park. If you enjoy listening to a variety of music performed by local talent, please join us. Donations received go to Friends of the Library and Friends of the Park.
