Who is eligible for a Danville-Center Township Public Library Card?

  • Residents of the Danville-Center Township and Marion Township

  • Click here to look up where your tax dollars go.

  • Please note: Children ages 3-17 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian when registering for a card

Proof of Residency

Please come prepared with a Photo ID that include your current address. If your ID does not have your current address we will accept one of the following items:

  • Utility bill showing your current address

  • Personal check with current address

  • Property tax statement showing that you pay taxes within the Town of Danville or Center Township

  • The DCSC Student and Educator Card is for Danville Community School Corporation students, teachers, and administrators. It is valid for one year from date of registration. This card entitles students to check out materials from our library and have access to our digital resources, including Libby, Hoopla, and Kanopy.

  • Residents of Eel River, Franklin, Middle, and Union Townships in Hendricks County do not pay a library tax and must purchase a Non-Resident library card. The annual fee is $76.00 (2026), and the card is valid for one year from the date of purchase. All household members living at the same address may receive cards at no additional cost.

    The Danville–Center Township Public Library will continue to serve Marion Township residents at no charge in 2026.

  • Library cardholders may purchase a Public Library Access Card (PLAC) for $65.00 (2026). The PLAC is valid for one year, is issued to individuals only, and allows borrowing from public libraries across Indiana, excluding Hendricks County libraries (see Reciprocal Borrower Cards).

  • The Danville–Center Township Public Library has a reciprocal borrower agreement with Avon and Brownsburg (reviewed annually). This agreement allows cardholders in good standing to receive a library card at another participating Hendricks County library at no additional cost.

    To obtain a reciprocal card, present your home library card, valid ID, and current address at the participating library. Materials must be returned to the library where they were checked out. Reciprocal borrowers may only borrow items physically available at the lending library and do not have access to Evergreen or OverDrive.
